Feather Productions’ inaugural production, The Sociable Plover by Tim Whitnall, premiered at The Old Red Lion Theatre, Islington in June 2005. Co-starring Alex Macqueen and Tim Whitnall, the play was directed by Howard Ward and designed by Chrystine Bennett. Published by Samuel French/ Concord Theatricals, this taut two-handed psychological thriller has enjoyed productions in Eire, Italy, Greece, Canada, New Zealand and Australia, as well as here in the UK.

This production was revived at the 2009 Edinburgh Festival Fringe, directed by Tim, moving on to a successful run at the Adelaide Festival 2010, before returning for a subsequent UK tour.


“The Sociable Plover” continues to play internationally, performed by theatre companies, both professional and amateur.
